Mr. Shannon received the DECA Outstanding New Chapter Advisor for 2005-2006 at the DECA State Conference in Birmingham. Mr. Shannon also serves as Chairman for the DECA Administrative Board for the State of Alabama.

The Winston County Technical Center DECA Chapter recently carried 41 students to the 2006 Alabama State Conference in Birmingham. Twelve students will advance to the International DECA Conference in Dallas, Texas April 28th – May 3rd.
